What documents are required to rent a bicycle or e‑bike?

A valid ID is required. A credit card is needed for the security deposit. If you do not have a credit card, you may leave a cash deposit of €100 per bicycle and €300 per e‑bike.

What is included in the rental?

The rental includes a Kryptonite lock, helmet, instant puncture repair foam kit, road assistance, and a basket (city bikes only). Phone holders are included only on selected models, not on Kids Bikes, Kids E‑Bikes, or Longtail Cargo Bikes.

Does insurance cover the bicycle?

No. The customer is responsible for theft and damages up to the deductible indicated in the contract (from €150 for kids bikes to €1150 for electric mountain bikes).

From what age can children be carried on a bicycle?

Children can be carried from 1 year old. Up to 11 kg (24 lbs) they use a front seat; from 11 kg to 23 kg (50 lbs) they must use a rear seat.

At what age can children ride your bikes?

Kids Bikes are suitable from 120 cm in height. Kids E‑Bikes are suitable from 140 cm, even though Italian law states a minimum age of 14 for e‑bikes. Parents are fully responsible for their children.

Is it difficult to ride a bike in Rome?

Our shop is located directly on bike‑friendly routes, including the Tiber cycle path and the Appian Way. Riding is safe and enjoyable with common sense and basic cycling ability.

What is your cancellation policy

You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund up to 48 hours before the start of your rental.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time are not eligible for a refund.

What happens in case of bad weather?

You may cancel on the same day in case of bad weather before the rental begins. No refunds are issued once the rental has started.

You must present a valid European driving license or a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) if your license is non‑EU, a credit card for the security deposit, and previous experience riding scooters.

Can I rent a scooter without experience?

No. For safety reasons, we do not rent scooters to customers without prior experience. If the guide determines that you cannot ride safely, the scooter will not be delivered and one rental day will be charged.

Where can I ride a scooter in Rome?

Scooters can circulate almost everywhere except highways (autostrade), bus/taxi lanes (corsie preferenziali), and the ZTL A1 when the gate shows “VARCO ATTIVO”.

What is included in the scooter rental?

Third‑party liability insurance, two helmets, a rear trunk, and a safety lock are included.

Our small‑group tours are led by tour leaders who speak Italian and English fluently, plus a third language chosen based on the first booking of the day. This may include Dutch, French, Spanish, German, or Polish.

Do tours run in case of rain?

Yes, tours run in light rain. In case of severe weather, we reschedule or refund.

What is the minimum number of participants?

Group tours require a minimum of two participants in total. Solo travelers may join existing groups.

Are children allowed on group tours?

Children under 10 or under 23 kg (50 lbs) may join private tours only. Older children may join group tours if accompanied by an adult.

Yes. Private tours are fully customizable based on your interests: history, food, nature, panoramic views, countryside, or hidden gems.

Is the Appian Way suitable for beginners?

The Appian Way includes uneven basalt stones. It is recommended for confident cyclists, especially at night.
